Before your pack your bags and get into the earliest flight going to Davao City here is a quick checklist you need to know about the friendliest city in the Philippines:

- Davao city is the biggest in land area in the country, but don't worry about getting lost, Davaoenos are always ready to help you. Besides, getting lost is part of the adventure, right?

 - No typhoon enters the city, but, rain showers occur anytime of the year.

 - There is a smoking ban in the city. You only get to smoke on designated areas, if caught smoking of non-smoking areas be prepared to pay the fine of Php 5,000.00

- If something happens to youm like being stuck in a traffic (which rarely occurs), power interruption or whatever city concern, you can always dial 911. The people of 911 are always ready to help out with whatever your concern. Well almost everything.

 - If you are planning a big bang on new year, take out Davao city from your list because the city also has a firecracker ban. This is not because Davaoenos are spoilsports, this is just the city's way of protecting everybody parts of the citizens of the city.

- Fruits and vegetables are pretty cheap in the area.  And if you are looking for the best exotic fruit, Davao city can offer you hundreds of variety of Durian.

- Davao is home of the many beautiful things you should not miss - Waling-Waling Orchid and The monkey-eating Eagle.

-  The Davao international airport, does not only cater to domestic flights it also caters for international flights from Singapore and other Asian countries.
